There are two side for each loop that are supposed to lock once crimped, however I have found that the side of the metal that’s supposed to be already locked down needs an extra crimp because it falls out pretty easy.They are good to keep adapters together, but not great for security since the ends. can get pulled out just be twisting the secured adapters.

I am using these to keep MAC HDMI adapters attached to HDMI cables in public spaces at a school. In the past the adapters would just ‘walk away’ all the time. I’ve probably spent hundreds of dollars replacing those. Now, for a low price, I’m able to attach them permanently to the cables. Yes – someone can probably cut them off. But most of the time it is a matter of convenience when they ‘walk away’. I put 6 of these in immediately and so far haven’t had a loss of an adapter since.

Not really hard to install – I appreciated the free tool included and the pre-assembled tether (basically I only had to slip them on each end of the cables then crimp to tether).
